Wow, he certainly has come through adversity. I recognise the song Rip It Up now that I hear it but must confess I didn't know it very well and I didn't associate the group with Edwyn Collins in 199 (whatever year) 'I've never known a girl like you' was released.

So prior to the lockdown in UK and before Christmas, I was chatting to my Uncle Paddy (cliché but true) and then was chatting to my cousins with odd Irish names and my newly discovered enjoyment of Flogging Molly and they told me FM were playing 3 dates in England in August 2021 and we all agreed to meet up and go together. However I am obviously very well aware of Covid, restrictions on stuff and travel etc. and totally understand health is priority etc. and would never risk a purely pleasure for England trip as that would be selfish so probabilities are pretty slim as its only 8 months from now but maybe they will have new dates in the future when all is good. Both my passports are ready for when its safe............

Disappointed. Heard a song during my usual SOA watching that I liked, then did the usual on Tunefind and Spotify etc. However the part of the song that they used was pretty different to the rest of the song and I didn't like the rest of the song. Just saw this topic now. I understand that at the end of the day the decision will be up to the owners of BH the same as with any business cos at the end of the day that is what it is, a business. I found BH when I was googling bike stuff as a total utter newbie to the sport a few years ago and it has been most helpful. I truly appreciated and used the advice given when I asked it. I have used the classifieds to purchase as well. I do really enjoy some of the chit chat topics and hope that they stay and would certainly miss them if they were to be removed.

Yes sorry I wasn't clear, I was meaning as in a similar genre (sort of celtic punk) to Flogging Molly. The only reason I had heard of Flogging Molly was You tube lined up songs as recommended and they came up. Probably from searching Dropkicks Murphys previously. Also a band The O reilly's and Paddy Hats came up, a few of their videos were enjoyable. Not a genre I was very familiar with but I am enjoying exploring.

I have listened to a few Dropkick Murphys songs since I heard 'Johnny I hardly knew ya' whilst watching SOA and I'd never heard of them prior to that song which was the backdrop to the IRA bloke getting shot. Since then I have enjoyed a couple of their songs.

And when you are on first name terms with the staff at your local ER ..... Youngest one hasn't even hit double digits yet and we have had various facial cuts glued, stitches, broken teeth, minor jaw fracture. Seem to have escaped broken legs and arms so far but probably wishful thinking on my part that won't happen.
