  1. What shop did you buy the bike from?
  2. Happened to me once, bike fell over at a coffee stop and bent the hanger slightly. I bent it back but it had been weakened and snapped 20km later when I got to a climb causing the same damage as you
  3. It was one of the only countries that didn't have south africa on the red list last August. A friend of mine went and said the same as you.
  4. I was forced to use Stan's because Orange Seal wasn't available here at the time. It didn't seal the puncture and it left an awful mess. I ended up removing the front derailleur and crank and separating the chain rings to clear all the mess off. Never again. Orange Seal peels off easily with just a finger. Orange Seal has fixed punctures instantly at 95psi (this is before we were told theax should be 75psi). Anyway, I rode that was for over 10,000km no issues
  5. Rosmead is becoming a no-go zone early in the morning
  6. It's nice to ride every now and again without a helmet. No big deal
  7. True, to be honest don't always feel sorry for them when the scam is plenty obvious
  8. He might be an idiot but he's making money. I saw a posts on Facebook golf hub where he has successfully scammed people
  9. Seller should have advertised product as Fork with Remote Lockout without Remote Lockout
  10. Remote Colour TV for sale (no remote included)
  11. He's picking up all the wanted ads on BikeHub but he's not seeing this thread, strange
  12. YES HE IS A SCAMMER. I had the same guy contacting me for a seatpost I wanted.
  13. The MASTER is MP Suspension in Milnerton, they are the Ohlins importer
  14. Absolutely, no question TCR.
  15. That is very kind. @RobertWhiteheadis currently seeing what parts he has to make a complete bike so maybe you could contribute to him directly to compensate him for his time and parts.
  16. This is the bike. The forks are locked solid, the wheel bearings are shot, front derailleur is dead, rear is barely functional, I think the brake pads are missing so the pistons are stopping the bike against the disc etc etc the only thing that looks good are the SRAM discs
  17. Really? That would be amazing. Lete know how I can help. He rides a medium sized bike. I think anyone that rides 2 hours to work in the winter deserves to be given a chance.
  18. Thanks very much, appreciated. I'm going to get a new bike. His wheels are toast, brakes are toast, both derailleurs are hanging on for dear life. Makro had a Raleigh Nexus 29er for R1700 . Are they complete rubbish for that money?
  19. Thanks, that's very kind. This guy is constantly sending me voice notes expressing his gratitude. He says the bike drives like a car now! The truth is the bike is pretty FUBAR all over. I'm going to investigate finding him a whole bike because putting a crank on this may be throwing good money at a big mess.
  20. Well spotted, yes it does look like a mcyver job with that bolt through the crank shaft
  21. Hi, I'm looking to help a guy that cycles 2 hours each way from Fishoek to Somerset hospital in Green Point. He has a pretty beaten up Titan Racing MTB with 3x 8 speed groupset. The chain slips off the chainrings when you apply any power so I was looking for a crank or chainrings that might work. (the chain doesn't slip off the side off the chain rings, the crank teeth don't hold the chain as you pedal) Thanks in advance EDIT: Change of plan, crank not required anymore
  22. It doesn't have to be a 3x crank, a 2x would be fine. Are they available? The front derailleur is in bad shape and thesmallestvring is in the worst shape so I managed to get it to shift on the two outer rings only.
  23. I was cycling yesterday and a guy stopped me to help him with his bike. He is a security guard at Somerset hospital in Green Point and rides there from Fishoek every day!!!!!! It is a titan MTB with 8 speed something. I took the bike home and indexed the gears, tightened headstock, adjusted brakes etc but the chainrings are buggered and it slips over the teeth. I did what I could and he was very happy but the bike is generally a disaster. I wouldn't mind sourcing a crankset or chain rings but I have no idea what they are.
