  1. I'm sorry but you've just signed up to the wrong kind of bike hub.... this is a cycling forum
  2. Does anyone even know if he didn't bribe the cops to let him out yesterday already?
  3. The last time this happened everybody blamed the bike owner for signing the indemnity and not insuring his bike.
  4. Be aware that these guys are more than likely following you.
  5. All that history with Silverback and you ride a Bianchi!
  6. Me too, I easily get 6000km out of a set. Same story with Goodyear F1's
  7. I have had a Garmin 520 and now a 130 plus. Even though the 130 is smaller the screen has a better resolution so the numbers are still very clear. I refuse to buy Garmin products in SA due to the huge mark up compared to Europe. I paid 130 euros for my 130 plus. There is no reason for Garmin SA to charge so much more
  8. What bike did you do it on, gravel or MTB. I recently bought a Trek Supercaliber for this trip (100mm Front, 60mm Rear travel)
  9. How many people will buy this R350k bike!
  10. Great timing. I'm very interested in doing this.
  11. I have taken a guitar as hand luggage before but people like musicians, they hate cyclists!
  12. You can actually get a 130SPF sunscreen under prescription if you're planning some crazy cross-desert riding in the blazing sun
  13. The way bikes are left 'locked' on bike racks I wonder how many are insured and the owners are wanting them to go missing. How many get stolen off the back of cars every week and then everyone acts surprised
  14. I used the regular for a year and a half and endurance for a year and a half. I can't tell the difference, they both work
  15. Just FYI, this seals road tubes at 90psi so MTB pressures are no problem at all. Also 100 times easier to clean off your bike than the mess caused by Stan's sealant
  16. Lanoysports.co.za Order 3 bottles for free delivery. A friend of mine ordered on Monday, I think it arrived the next day.
  17. Orange Seal
  18. So sorry for your loss. I have never commented but followed the story over the past 2 years. What a battle he fought. RIP
  19. There are many large groups of riders that leave from the Shell petrol station in Moullie Point at all times of the morning. You don't have to hang around long to tag onto the back of a group heading towards Hout Bay. Although it's very safe on your own along that stretch. I even find it safer alone as cars can easily pass you. It gets more hairy in a large group.
  20. But then you said you would buy the Swift. Look at the photo where the guy is holding the pedal.... look at the crank, it is F***ED
  21. Any discount on these please? SHIMANO RC7 ROAD BICYCLE SHOE – RED (WIDE)
  22. I would rather a green bike than some of the rubbish people are cheeky enough to sell as 'barely used' and 'just serviced'. If you buy the wrong bike you can quickly drop 5k if you need a new cassette, chain and a buggered hub
  23. This is the only bike I found under 18k that looks really clean and with modern components https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/road-bikes/512484/trek-emonda-alr
  24. I'm sorry but I can't believe these old and battered bikes are selling for 15k. Old components, scratched up levers and derailleurs, cranks look like they've been all over the mountain, cheap and nasty wheels. Keep looking is my advice.
  25. Totally agree. Doctors in SA are very quick to get you into surgery $$$$. Go for 2nd and 3rd opinions
