  1. Prolly, just give them a ring - google cgc for no. and lady who answered the phone sorted it. They're in Cyclelab building.
  2. I've still got a way to go thenThyolo2007-07-10 12:42:56
  3. Yes i am in love, deeply in love - i am lost but I am also found. The world has a sweet fragrance to it and i am afraid that my gentle smile and happy vibe cannot be undermined. Was this said on your big night out Kal-El or is it yet to happen?
  4. I phoned CGC this morning and they already had me registered through Germiston Wheelers and told me that my ID no. is my individual no. to use when registering for races. Nothing more to pay, no drama - sorry.
  5. It's a dog eat dog eat chicken kinda world
  6. Speaking for the chicken fraternity - predictably I'm against shooting helpless, helpful or downright rude animals. If I'm hit with a stone, a stick a bullet or a nuke, whether you crept up from 75kms away or just leant out your bakkie window, it's all the same to me innit?
  7. Bing bong..... "Spillage in Bunch B"
  8. No Mamps, they're gonna stick a chip up your a$$ and the starting mats will have bar code readers borrowed from Pick and Pay.
  9. Sorry it didn't work out H but it's much better that you make your moves rather than waiting for something to happen. Now you've got a chance to pick a prize location this time - Central African Republic maybe? I'm in Harare next week, could put in a word for you.
  10. TDF passes through my home town tomorrow. The Mrs is over there at the mo' but not interested and I'll be there next month. Bad timing.
  11. Looking at the avatar and message, I feel a sales pitch coming on, but seeing as it was posted at 3 a.m. maybe he fell asleep on the keyboard - this should buy us some time. Thyolo2007-07-06 01:24:19
  12. Cunning eh? ..but mostly bad syntax. How much is bad syntax & does it get you off if you pay? Is there any kind of syn that isn't bad?
  13. Seems to me the Epic is over-subscribed rather than over-rated and this leads to a lot of harrumphing. Who is supposed to have over-rated it and where - I think it's a non-question really.
  14. Is that the same as the Golden Highway? I heard they were throwing the yellow bricks there this morning so you're probably right that it's very dangerous. Thyolo2007-07-05 06:40:07
  15. Hi Ian - those mountains look very narrow on your pic - only 3 bikes wide, do be careful (you'd think they'd put barriers on them). Hope you have a terrific time, you'll see SBRand as molehills after this.
  16. Sun City to Rustenburg Rd - Sun City end. Must've lost 5kgs in 6kms I was so scared. Narrow roads, min. speed 140kmh; min. vehicle size Nissan TwinCab with bored overweight driver.
  17. Hi Ewep Great how the profile looks positively mountainous until you see the scale and it's all up and down over 100mtrs! This was a good weekend away last year - stayed at Sundowner ranch and saw TCS guys there but that was pre-Hub so I didn't know who they were. Tail wind in made the last 20kms brilliant but usually they say it's against the riders on the home stretch. There was a lot of traffic in the 1st 25kms. Scenery v monotonous and exposed to wind, so lots of people hiding in the bunches and over the centre line at times. Rest of the day at Sun City is great.
  18. It is truly gratifying to see my humble thread grow legs and run all day, taxing the minds of senior Hubbers with the debate finding its natural level on ...... ....biltong. c'est la vie as they say on the TdF (but not at Tour de Frans - which is where we came in) Thyolo2007-07-04 08:50:04
  19. You can get on their mailing list through: MTN Microsoft Cycling Team [mailto:kandice.buys@ryder.co.za] And there's some press releases on mtn.co.za
  20. Cheers SwissVan Fair's fair - you must tell us your service horror stories. My fave so far was in Malawi where my friend's Range Rover went in manual and came out automatic.
  21. Are you sure you got YOUR wheel back? Did u have sight of your wheel at all times? If so great stuff and they deserve everything said about them. Oh sh!t I just checked - they've given me this wooden thing with bits of tree creeper for spokes and chalked "Speeneergee" on the side. D@mn that explains why there were no lights on in the shop and why everyone was smiling as I left.
  22. I missed Arnie's cheerful bumbling last night... is there anyone left to remind us about helmets?
