  1. I'm battling to get sufficient time on the road and realise I need a basic IDT to try to make up for this. I'm no racer and am really looking to build some fitness, and to develop some power and stamina for hills, where I'm really weak Tacx would seem to be a good bet - what views on the brand, and the difference between the T1435 Sirius (2kg flywheel & supposedly quieter) and T1810 Speedmatic (1kg flywheel)? Also, a few people have told me that I needn't invest in a special trainer tyre at first (I run Gatorskins). Looking forward to your views..

These are on my wish-list..! Does anyone have any experience with Rudy's optical inserts? Or Adidas' optical inserts for that matter?

  16. Good advice and and good Service Levels are worth paying a little more for, especially when you are a newbie like I am. I can recommend Linden Cycles as well, Joneen gives good advice. Good luck.
  17. Thanks Ian. My current fitness level is low and I run out breath quite easily, not to mention muscle power. From this low level can one expect a noticeable improvement from the use of one of these devices? (I'm a novice as well as a vet (53))
