  1. Sizing from the time 26" bikes were popular to now have not changed. A medium frame then would still be a medium now. You're giving really CR@P advice now. A larger frame would in no way be beneficial to PJ2106 now.
  2. Good answer. It's the farmer's land. he can do with it as he sees fit. He does not require a user's permission
  3. I've got a spare one you can use and then replace when you get another new one. I got them from Token Cycling in Rivonia
  4. I could lend you one when I get back as a sample. Then just replace it when you get another
  5. Hi guys. I met such a cool rider today from the '94 Swiss national cycling team who recognized my cycling clothes sponsorship and stopped today to chat in Sedgefield asking about mtb routes. If you're that guy, sorry I didn't get your name or number, but I figured we'd swap details on the next Cycleworx ride with Eugene. If we don't happen to meet down here again, please dm me your details. Or else I'll keep an eye out for the Etios with the CAA registration plates around here whilst I'm here
  6. I was recently very surprised and very impressed by Donna at CycleLab Fourways. Impressive service received whilst everyone else was napping
  7. Richiebikespares can probably help you out. I'll be back home on Saturday, so I can tell you which model it is. A search of Google will reveal where it can be found
  8. Don't be a wussy. Let's go ride the spruit and rid it of the current scourge
  9. We were promised a few years ago that the vagrants would be cleared would be cleared. It was approved by the DA who then tried to put a plan in motion. Nothing ever happened and now they have a thriving community. There's absolutely f-all chance of getting rid of them now
  10. https://velowurks.com/vw-tubeless-system-tire-sealant/ I've been using this in my road tyres for the past 3 years and put in my gravel bike tyres now also. I'm impressed with it so far
  11. Just had mt wife's and son's forks done by them. They are good and quick, but not cheap. I'll cost between R1500 and R2500, but they do a proper job. Take it off the bike and take it to them next week.
  12. That doesn't look worn much. I've also had that issue, but after running it in for 3 or 4 rides they wear into each other. See what it's like after a few rides
  13. Send it in to be looked at before you break spokes or crash. Prevention is better than cure.
  14. Can't argue with an idiot. When your bike is broken, and you're on holiday, and you take it in to a local shop, you don't have the luxury of having time on your hands. You need it to be fixed, on the spot. The shop knows this, and will charge you according to their scale. You have the choice to pay their price, or pack your bike away for the remainder of the holiday and do your online shopping when you get back. I'm fully capable of being a nice guy, but when one has to deal with some guy on a forum who shouts his mouth off all the time like this Chris character it gets a bit frustrating.
  15. OP was specifically referring to Garden Route IMO. But there you go again................................. What does it help trying to negotiate with a bike shop owner that you COULD get it cheaper at CWC? If you find yourself in one of these shops, it's usually not out of choice. It's because something has broken. These are out of the way places, and it will almost always cost you more to get it fixed than taking it to your LBS or comparing online prices. Word of advice Chris: load your brain before you shoot your mouth off. (Matt, this is advice, not a personal attack)
  16. It was an ally seatpost. Dunno, but it made a VERY loud crack sound as it let out it's last
  17. I watched this approach once. The frame cracked. It was easy to remove the seatpost afterwards, but the look of disappointment on the oke's face will never be forgotten.
  18. Helped a few mates with this. (Also failed in 1 attempt). Remove BB. Spray copious amounts of WD40 into the frame between the seatpost and the frame. (Don't worry, it comes out the BB hole). Manhandle the seat with vigorous sideways movements to become free in the frame. Buy another can and try again if first attempt is unsuccessful.
  19. Risking bad handling? Are you an unsponsored rider competing at the front end? Are you being serious or just looking for idle chatter before the luxury of off-topic conversations are removed?
  20. I had the same issue. Sorted out in 2 mins without a p1ssing contest
  21. Don't rush to conclusions. I've had VERY **** service from him as well as parts and a bike going missing. They/we all have bad days. It's how one responds that makes the difference. So far I'm not impressed at all
  22. Another crappy idea of yours. Dictator. I created the hub, I'll run it my way. You're a knob, don't you realize it's the users that make it. It's gotten bigger than you initially expected and now you think you're a demi-god
