'Rand Flyer' SS Rigid- Update

Now finished, with it's gold chain and chrome pedals.

Put her through her paces at the weekend, beautiful, well at least nothing fell off........me or the bike with the lack of suspension!!!!! Wrists took a bit of a hammering.

Going up the wall in Alberts Farm, easy side, was not as bad as I thought. Glad I started with 32/18 and not 32/16 though.

Need to take one more link out of the chain just to stop the little bit of chain slap.

THAT IS TREMENDOUSLY BEAUTIFUL:o

Hey Guys

I'm busy building my own little SS project, and am thinking of bringing in a carbon 26 rigid fork from China, If I bring in 3 more forks it will make the price for each fork quite a bit cheaper R1150 each.

carbon used is T600 and weight is 500g +- 20g and straight 1-1/8 steer

so if anyone is interested in getting a fork with me send me a PM :)

My first build.

Giant XTC2 Medium frame.

XTR BB, LX cranks. Race Face chain ring for now.

Magura brakes and disks. 180mm front and 160mm rear.

Mavic Cross Ride wheels converted to tubeless.

Specialised Sauzerwind 2.0 at front and Specialized The Captain 2.0 at the back,

FireEye 16T and spacers. 18T optional and FireEye half link chain.

Pedals are just for testing. Cheap ones at the moment. Would be replaced with Ritchey pedals.

Bike would be stripped and resprayed in black with some trimming in orange when setup is sorted.

Chain ring to be replaced and more options on spacers would be installed.

BB is quite low as I previously got lots of pedal strikes.
