Lets hope our airforce holds onto theirs as long as possible. It will be a hell of a mission to replace it with an equal for rescues.

Our local fire choppers, the second Huey has just arrived

Who are they owned and run by?

 

Not much of a Huey fan but they are great choppers.

 

Love the sound of the Super Puma when they do a sharp turn and you sitting in the doors.......

my brother in law is in the airforce and I managed to get a seat the one night they were practicing night flights around CT. The flew to various locations and just landed and took off again. Was quite an experience.

AFAIK the one belonged to Ranch Timbers, but i may be wrong

Everytime I hear a Huey fly over, it immediately transports me into VietNam movies - start listening for the gunfire and looking for the napalm...

Working on Fire. They operate out of Cape Town during fire season. They move up North as well as seasons change.
