Latent_Blue Posted December 3, 2014 Share Land Rover Defender is 65 years old and still has that same iconic look and agricultural feel although it has had more engine changes than they built Hiluxes. (I'm biased, so what!) The hilux engin has stayed the same now since 2005 (the seventh generation) The "new models" are brought out with the same chassis and the same thirsty engin - theres only a "facelift" (how gay is that!) and the thing is just getting more expensive I was a big Toyota fan - but now I am glad they lost 'some' support at least - they need to wake up and stop harvesting extra money for pawning of 10year old technology EDIT: land rover defenders are awesome though... dont know much about their history and specs though....
