Do you mean copy a picture without having to use the whole IG link?

Right-click on the image and select "inspect". It will open up an Elements tree on the right side of the screen. Just above the highlighted text is an arrow. Click the arrow to expand the contents then you will see a link to a website. Right-click on said link and select "open in new tab". DONE!!

Images are not an issue as I would just screen grab. It is for vids that I am keen to be able to just copy and paste the link ... I recall back in the day there was a string of characters one had to delete from the copied link text.
