There is that too. But damn. Pay 200 000 pounds to sit in that contraption for 8 hours is madness.

Do you think they will be charged more for the longer time under water tour experience?

I understand that the unit can stay underwater for 96hrs.

I have a feeling right now that they will pay whatever it costs to get out of the thing

Reminds me of the Bike Polo we played at the Dirtopia Festival. There used to be a regular Bike Polo crowd at Green Point also. Are they still active? Used to be a heap of fun.

… to submerse 3 800 metres to only on screens remotely and indirectly view that which can also with a drone submersible be remotely and indirectly viewed from the ocean’s surface (or even from my bed)????

Nah, a ridiculous grade-A exercise in financial masturbation.  Reminds me of Bezos’ pointless sub-orbital flights in his dick shaped aircraft.

On that we agree wholeheartedly. It’s madness.

I think it is more about the "act" of actually going down and the process around the experience vs actual sight seeing.

are they still alive ? I see yesterday there was a tweet saying they would run out of oxygen today.

quoting myself with an update.

Last tweet I just saw said around 60 minutes of oxygen left.

Yoh! It does not sound like this will end well.

Like someone on twitter said, There are millionaires down there that would give up everything and trade places with your poor self right now.
