i love working on my bike, but greasy hands afterwards can be a real pain!

a simple trick that works well is to rub your hands with a bit of degreaser beforehand, and let it dry. this creates a layer and your hands are much easier to clean

any tips or tricks for clean hands afterwards that you want to share?

Ja, latex gloves. About R50 bucks for a whole box at Dischem. You can also use them if you work at the airport.....

That workshop soap with sand in it works brilliantly for removing grease afterwards.

Sunlight liquid and automatic washing powder paste.

Even gets diesel black out.

My dad who worked on the mines used to use this trick, works well!

Don't know what it's called, but it's pink, or green (different brands) and comes in a big tub. Feels like that facewash with the grits in it, but with FAR more grits and it would take your face off if you udes it to wash your face with. Gets everything off.

But - if you're struggling with cash - get some sand, some sunlight/handy andy and some water. It basically becomes a rubbing compound, and that's all you need to get the grit off.

It's called, wait for it ....hand cleaner and is used primarily in the automotive workshop trade. you can probably buy it at midas or autozone.
