Thanks.

last night 10pm I was feelling worse for wear ....

Took a couple of tablets.  Felt surprisingly okay this morning.  Even managed a decent commute to work.

couple of "tender" spots .... but VERY aware of just how lucky I was !!

Last year I had two wipe outs and one collision during my commutes.  I was lucky that I had no roasties but can say that I think being in my mid 40's that planet earth got less forgiving.  In the two wipe outs (one on ice and the other on muddy road service) I hit the deck so quick and hard.  Body was sore for a couple of days.

My count this year (touch wood) is still on 0.

Over the last two years I have had some "incidents" on trails.  but mostly I either recovered, or "stepped off" the bike in time.  Never "fell" ... touch wood !

Yesterday I was traveling at a very slow speed, Polar has not yet grabbed onto the satelites, so I dont know the exact speed.  I would guess it was about 15km/h.

One moment I am hopping off the pavement, the next I hear the sound of my body grinding over the tar, then the lightest thud as my helmet lightly touches the tar (not even a mark on the helmet)

Approaching my mid-50s......I can confirm, plant earth arrives far quicker and is far less forgiving than I remember in my 20s.
