Time for an update picture on Marsie, our rescue pup who waylaid me when I was on the bike in Roodewal forest on 26th July.

The first picture was taken on that evening when we got her home, still in the car, and the second to-day almost 5 months later . The happy face is obvious in the second picture.

WOW how absolute happy, healthy and awesome does Marsie looks...good man GIP...has he started digging holes yet?

Wow! What a happy dog! My happy woof story of the year! You and your missus are good folk!

First day of weaning went okay. I was advised not to force them to the feeding "trough". They would do it gradually, and at their own pace. I didn't have that worry. They ate greedily - which is giving their mum a bit of a break - and then some of them fell asleep in their food!

You know you're gonna get empty nest syndrome soon when they all go off to their forever homes :(

Or it might be a welcome break

Bit of both. I have become very attached to them. Alabama has entrusted me so much with them. Like surrogate dad status. I know they're all going to good homes. The last one to leave will be Spencer - the one on top - who is going to the home of the friend of my best friend in Durbs. She's going to make the handover easier for me by road-tripping back to Jozi with me afterwards.
