That's a pretty good team selection, probably better than mine. My only concern is I don't have faith in those 4 bowlers to bowl the aussies out twice, cheaply enough to win a test. At Newlands big Vern should be a handful, and Morkel should be pumped up to perform in his 2nd last game for SA. But I think we miss that Kallis type allrounder who can score some big runs plus take a wicket or 3.

wickets at newlands test vs India in Jan.

1st innings:

vern 3, steyn 2, morkel 2, rabada 3

2nd innings

vern 6, no steyn, morkel 2, rabada 2

Maharaj only bowled 10 overs as the 4 prong pace attack was firing. morkel and vern got the prize wicket of kohli.

I have no real concern with Morkel coming back and adding Ngidi to this mix, we can get all 20 wickets. The mix of the team is that we're playing an extra batsmen now, i don't see them shifting that.

Given that, not maybe good idea to play extra seamer in place of Maharaj?

The Vern has become quite dependable with bat in hand

And that while being a strike bowler

Hope there’s lots of Kallis type cover drives with extensive follow through to come

No way, Kesh's place is not up for grabs. We're playing an extra batsmen now. QdK was coming in at 6 vs India(vern at 7)

india series attack

4 seamers, one spinner

australia attack

3 seamers, one spinner.

Wow

#900

Kagiso Rabada has moved back the top spot among bowlers in the MRF Tyres ICC Test Player Rankings and also crossed the coveted 900-point mark in ratings after his man of the match effort of 11-150 helped the Proteas defeat Australia by 6 wickets in PE to level the series at 1-1

The consequences are disproportional to the offense. If the timing was different he could have missed two one day games against Bangladesh as supposed to 2 test matches vs Australia. Some common sense is needed here but I doubt it will come from the ICC.

Mel Waring was left blindsided after MailOnline revealed Lyon, the father of their two children, had been in a one-year relationship with a blonde real estate agent (pictured)

this all came out during the Ashes, three months ago,

But now the scorned woman has started blogging about it.

I wonder if sledging about this would be considered crossing the 'line'?

How is this for planning:

The Aussie cricket team and their partners are staying in the same hotel in Cape Town as the Blues who are playing the Stormers on Saturday.

I wonder if Davey and Mrs Warner will be taking all their meals in their room to avoid an unfortunate meeting with SBW over the breakfast buffet or in the lady's loo......

Maybe we should organise them a round of golf, at the clovelly course.

I hope whackhead simpson is onto this one...
