Great, please fax me a copy of your pro tour team contract. The winning strategy dictates that I only hire riders with PPO's exceeding 500 watts and body fat < 4%. TT world champs medallists preferred.

Alternatively you can join the backup team. PM me your address and I will send you some Haribo in advance :P

...PLUS your biological passport?

Thanks, yes, I have 1985m for DC to be precise. Argus is just over 1000m as I remember.

DC was harder than I thought it would be this year. I think the spring season has knackered me so I am taking some time off to ride my office chair for a week or two :P

Chris did well with the UCT guys and I hear Nev has given him a ride with his team at the Burger thumbup1.gif

Got 1999 m for the DC and 1202 m for the Argus on my garmin.

I think its mainly the management and sponsors that are concerned. I spoke to one of the Aurecon riders and he says he's happy with his ride and can't be bothered about the politics.

Isn't it riders from their team that complained? If they're happy they should withdraw their complaints :P

They were 4th so if 2nd Daikin and 3rd Brothers Sport are disqualified then they move up to 2nd.

But yeah, it's probably going to take a full nine months...

We never had a 12 man finish, we did finish all 12 riders but not all together?

from dc site

The Charles Milner Award, introduced for the first time this year to encourage entrants to embrace the original ethos of the event, went to those teams who finished with all 12 team cyclists crossing the finish line within 15 minutes of each other.

my bad!

There's something that the organisers of Wines2Whales could learn from - posting medals to participants. (And while we are at it, how about throwing in a bike wash as part of the R4k entry fee, instead of charging R60 a wash)

There has been one decision so far...

Team Brothers Sport were found guilty on a number of accounts and penalised 60 minutes per rider and Lance Muller was DQ'ed.

That moves Aurecon into third place.

The sad thing is that there is no announcement, no podium and no recognition for the sponsors...

I would not want to get a podium if a person/team get's DQ'ed in front of me in any race.

DC is long gone...move on. :)

And letting us ride the whole race. Just remember what we rode at Swazi last year.
