Argus Entry sales

every second add in the classified section is an argus entry for sale!

and these people arent scared to ask ridiculous prices for it +-300 then still another 300 for race substitution

sold my 2 oceans 21 km entry for R 1000-00 couple of weeks ago. I feel like a bad person, but the other person were ecstatic about it.

My entry was R250 but I am also a PPA member which means I did not have to pay the CSA day licence fee. Therefore for many of the riders R300 is cost price. I see no problem with the guys wanting the get their money back. I do think that the R300 substitution fee set by the organisers is an absolute rip off. Unfortunately that is out of our hands.

understand that bt surely they cant want all their money bak!? i hope it doesnt get sold at all so they make a 300 loss... was their job to prepare for argus n if somethng major came up rather take the loss of R150 or R200 and give some else a chance! thats my veiw

Willing buyer - willing seller, I have no problem with someone selling their entry for as much as they can get.

Yes it is but scrooge here wants them to sell at a loss or even better give it away to less fortunate people who could not get their act together in the first place and enter on time

I have my now pregnant wife's entry up for sale. Legit reason for sale and I will take only R200 as a token of good faith ;-)

I broke my wrist on saturday and can no longer ride the Argus MTB, will sell my entry. Don't really care if I make a loss.

Erm... I disagree, what is it with all the fools that goes and enters, but does not ride? I can understand a broken wrist or a pregnant wife, but really a lack of preparation and poor planning does not make up for the fact that you want to sell something off to someone else at a mad price...

If R300 IS too much, then don't pay and you can be a supporter!

 

And as far as I know, it is illegal to ask for more than R300 (Non PPA) .... same as buying tickets for a concert and then selling at gate for a higher price.
