@ Luke - No disrespect to SW and AM but from a celeb point of view they are not in the same league as our mate LA.

True Swiss but Mr Vermaak's event is already sold out every year. Do you really want the LA circus to come to town and drive the price up even more? I don't think he needs that kind of exposure :P

Please, please NO, keep this cheating symbol of all that has been wrong with cycling away from this great event and this great country.

Move on guys, the Lying American is yesterday's man. Thank goodness he has moved into triathlon. Now let him stay there.

Good point, but from a business perspective Mr Vermaak might see it differently...hell imagine the arguments that will happen on the hub again, probably worse than the TDF in his days

From a business perspective, it might backfire - I suspect the expense in accommodating the extra media Juan's presence would generate would be horrendous. The paparazzi wouldn't sleep in tents.

...and just imagine the hub ghosts that will rise from the web dead

If Lance wants to ride the Epic (NOT INVITED TO RIDE) he must pay the entry fee / sponsored like the rest.

Think it would be great if he does participate.

Bugger the paparazzi. If they want to cover such an event, they'll have to make do with what is available (again, like the rest)

The partner thing would be interesting.

Maybe Evans can ditch the dead weight roadie, and get a real partner for 2013?

Rumor has it he's waiting for Floyd Landis to return to the sport and then they'll team up for the Epic.

Three hips and three balls. Awesome team name.

Buzz Aldrin is 82. Likely he would finish first - at the end of a defibrillator somewhere near the start of stage 1
