found these lights at Builders wharehouse for R50 each, put out 35 lumens.

Nifty thing is to charge them you just take the light as is, as press the back end into your cigarette lighter.

Strap two together like below and it is a decent cheap winter training light.

Not fireworks, but compares well to other R150-ish priced lights out there

Nice Idea! Are they good for night MTB'ing?

Will let you know tomorrow how they are on-road, but there are one or two dark areas, so will see there how hey are

so thats R195 for the light, R20 for a mount , and maybe another for battery and charger,

whats the burn time?

Mines still on the way but probably 3-4 hrs on low and 1-2hrs on high

So what all did you get, what was the final cost?

I ordered a whole bunch of stuff - but the light + 2 batt + charger was about R300

All the shipping is free tho , the price you see for anything is what you pay

that's a very cool setup there, I remember taping a mag lite solitaire to my bars back in the day when our home builds used to chink out.

was doing grocery shopping at our local Checkers and saw in the sport section they have bicycle lights "Power beam" and they were only R30 including the bracket. Must say really not bad has 5LED's 3modes(flash quicker flash and on) uses 4X AAA's and Seems to last quite long used it for 3hours on constant light and it still goes on. Will post a pic in the morning
