Thats why you need a proper espresso machine at home :-)

I have a nespresso at home but the pods become a mission...I'm enjoying the simplicity of the aero press.

I agree. Nearly fell of the couch when the mrs told me the price of one. Now we use it all the time. It's brilliant.

Agree its top notch, you will never ever have an issue with it

It's a bit more expensive and they aren't offering the Yirgacheffe I want. :)

Don't you also think it will be fresher straight from the roaster?

Whereabouts in Joburg are you? There are a couple of places that do their own roasting, you don't get much fresher than that!

North Guateng High Court sitting in Pretoria. You might be seriously cross examined though.

I've had many a bad experience there. Just a bit of a lack in quality. So I avoid them now.

The guys from Cape Coffee Beans have offered free shipping if I order from them. Would anyone like to do a bundle? V12? http://capecoffeebeans.co.za/?gclid=CPLyjNDnkb0CFSMYwwodykoAVQ

What would roasting dates be like? I'll be looking at getting 2kg but need it über fresh.

Otherwise I might try & get to Father Coffee.

Gone though about 6kg of Stil coffee & need a change...

Maybe not a lack in quality but consistency?

I bought 250g Kenyan beans from the Dullstroom store when the MTN race was there in Feb. Long story short, I enjoyed it and bought 1kg on my way back from MTN Sabie.

The second purchase was a far darker roast than the first (oily texture when the first was dry), it didn't taste nearly the same nor have the same amount of crema once extracted. So I assume that it wasn't fresh either.
