I had similar issues with my Kompak grinder in the beginning - to the extent that whenever I changed beans I would waste so many shots trying to dial in the grinder.

Much better now though.

Anyone going to the expo this weekend? I went last year and it sucked but I got free tickets so I'll give them another chance.

Yeah not excited about this really. You can get most coffee from local roasters online as well as gear online and from the distributors so not much to buy for me (if I had cash for a grinder maybe I would have gone). Unless there's like demos and so on doubt there's much reason to go?

I agree. Just going to say hi to some guys and see what's going down. Wouldn't go if I was paying.

I did not read the entire thread, so do not know if this product was discussed. but:

We recently bought a Russel Hobbs Cafe Barista. Entry level, but an improvement on our previous regime. I like the fact that it produces very hot coffee. It makes Latte, espresso and cappucino. I had a R 1300,00 Makro voucher so ended up paying just less than R 700.00. Still have to use the grinder, though.

Good day! I have an older model RusselHobbs machine that is in desperate need of a service. I've tried everything myself but the machine refuses to perform it's cleaning cycles for some reason and doesn't want to make any coffee without.

I live in PTA, can anyone please refer me to someone/place I can take my beloved machine?
