Looks like a great way to burn yourself.... to me anyway.... :)

When you used to a La Pavoni everything on that thing is hot... This is not so bad...

Im thinking of selling my Cimbali domus single group machine. Its the only home machine La Cimbali ever made.

I have had a new pump installed and new seals done - working perfectly.

This is the same class as a Simonelli Oscar and Rancillio Silvia.

- 58mm portafilter (x2)

- 3 way solenoid valve (No Sneeze)

- 2 litre tank

- small footprint

- Very easy to use

I havent put it for sale anywhere just thought I would offer it up here for anyone interested in getting a start on home espresso machines with a decent machine.

Drop me a message if you interested.

Looks like this.

I can see why. It's purdy, and silent! Because of noise, I use my aeropress 9 times out of 10 over my Sylvia. But dammit, now I want a lever too!

And single speeding is supposed to be cheaper!

Nice score.

So I can finally contribute in dis thread...long story short, I have a colleague that is migrating and he is selling most of his appliances so got this for the bargain price of 1500...and its hardly been used

http://coffeegeek.com/reviews/consumer/brevillebes860xl/latest

Loving life...look I know its a breville and it might not have a good grinder or temp control, but when I use fresh beans, double basket...single wall(tried using the double wall, but its kuk), finest grind and tamp like a hydraulic press, I get a very lekker shot.

No pitchaaaaas???

will take some tonight, but well chuffed with this little purchase and considering the price...I couldnt really refuse even if its not considered a proper machine...

It took me about a week to work out what beans(http://www.stilcoffee.com/catalogue/coffee-blends/vintage-black-espresso), what grind setting(grind 12/15 ito finest being 15) and tamping pressure(as hard as I can and fill basket to the brim) to use. But now I can consistently get a awesome tasting, 24 sec shot. Oh and like I said the double walled is sommer kuk, never had any success with it.

I might play around with the grind course a bit more, but I am already at the top end ito fine but I did see a thread on another site where you can hotwire the thing to grind finer if it ever comes to that.
