I went over to the dark side and got myself this Garmin Fenix 3 HR Sapphire.

I'm impressed!

Congrats. It's a very impressive piece of tech and really enjoying mine.

Im not so convinced about the built in hr models, how have you found it so far?

I have found mine to good and reliable on my rides. It also depends on what you want I guess. For me it's perfect as I'm not that hung up on the beat accuracy and as long as it's in the ball park then it's good for me.

 

If you serious about HR training and want to the beat accuracy then you need to measure what gives you the best accuracy needed for your training.

I compared it on two rides with my Polar V650 with the HR strap and the two are very close. I enjoy the 24/7 HR tracking on the Fenix - it's shocking to see what a few brandies does to ones hr!!

Just got my Spez Power saddle. Needed to get something new for the bike to get my motivation up again.

 

(Un)fortunately I looked at the 2017 Camber and looks like I'll have to get one to match my new saddle 

The new camber is really something! :drool:
