Got these new Farr Bars which feel really comfortable for longish gravel rides which is what I like - I also got the bolt on aero bars but they looked so odd I thought I'd try them out later

The Farr colours match your bike nicely

Time for some musical-chairs ... or is it musical-pedals ....  :whistling:

Been meaning to get better pedals for the commuter .... what better excuse to rather get better pedals for the MTB ...

Shimanos moved from the MTB to the XT-Edition Merida .... just looks right to have Shimano on the Shimano XT-Edition ....

My 2 1/2 yr old freerider contacts are a bit moeg. Time for a change. Got a pair of Freerider pro's.

Post-1st ride comments

The good:

Grippier than the old contacts

Much more solid pedalling platform

Looks like soles will be more durable than the stealth rubber on the old contacts (that were ripped to shreads)

The bad:

Hotter, probably less ventilated

Toe box a bit tighter, but not bothersomely so.
