Read a recent article about 'The Greats In Cycling'.

Names included were Merckx, Fignon, Kelly, Lemond, Armstrong, Indurain, Voigt.

Sagan is great.

He is not a Great. Capital G.

That tag is earned over years of awesome performance and great sportmanship.

Below Sagan's dad.

For the first time in many years I am not bothering to follow closely ..... I'd rather be out riding my bike :)

I do watch when it's on and I'm near a TV, anyway we won't know for a month or longer after the finish if the winner is really the winner anyway ;)

And you spoil it by showing you are as far from being an expert as I am from being Peter Sagan.

Go ride your bike, you clearly have nothing to contribute to the TDF thread.

Danielson also limped in yesterday after a disastrous day for Garmin.

Making Hesjedal the only top 10 GC contender now for the team...

Sagan did very well to win supporters over yesterday. Killer ride!

Something did surprise me the day before though. In Cav's win on stage 2 Sagan lost two positions in the final dash, from 4th to 6th (if I remember correctly). On the day I suspected he wasn't able to mix it up at tour level, but obviously yesterday he did. So I wonder what accounts for the difference? Either the final uphill suited him more, or he just had a bad/unlucky day on stage 2. Be good to see how it plays out on other sprint stages!

Whatever happens, to take 2 stage wins home on his debut tour is already huge.

Yeah, Zook, I don't think the laaitie is a pure sprinter like Cav/Greipel.

Add some gradient and you get the power sprinters like Boonen, Hushovd, Sagan.

In fact, sprint finishes for the next 3 days until the mountains over the weekend.

Cav vs Greipel vs Farrar vs Petacchi, the wunderkind wheelsucker Sagan??.

The GC dudes will just wanna keep it safe.

Impressive to see how BMC is way upfront keeping Cadel out of trouble.

Must admit that the final 10km stretches to the finish have been wild this year!

Fixed!

Gee Ben what have you done to these hubbers ??

Even though you from the dark side and this is a roadie thread, these guys seriously want you out of here.

Have you been causing some hubbers pain on the tracks ???

Don't care if it's a repost.

I love this kid, he's crazy.

Sagan has said "next victory as my salute I will dance entire Swan Lake ballet before the first looser crosses the line"
