He seemed to just go through the motions mostly, saw no aggression in his demeanor. He did have two close shaves with guys crashing in front of him

Skizo was well off the pace. Must ask if he is the best we have. Felt like he has lost the will to fight..he was down from the fall of the gate.

We need a change of guard, Kyle Dodd, watch out for this boytjie in 2016 limpics. Skeezo carrying way too much physchological scars & just don't have that edge anymore, new & young blood will do the trick.

Block rocking beats!

Watching some random stream that has no commentary, only the feed from the PA with that Saffa oke on the mike (who did the WC in Pmb)

Max - were riders on the bubble?

Not going to discount him yet, BMX career is far from over. Hopefully he'll still be good for 2016 and we'll qualify extra spaces to have a stronger squad.

Could possibly have displayed some extra aggression, but his pace was just not there, although looking at the two near misses he had in two of the heat's crashes that was some fine skill.

Reckon if wasn't for that second crash he would've taken 3rd, in fact the slo-mo footage show how the Colombian riders bike actually hit Skizo.

I'm still for him, he's doing a lot for the sport and still performing generally.

Reading this article I can't help but think he's feeling this more than anyone else. Especially considering how fickle Saffa sports fans are.

Was so epic my family even got into it, and they normally hate anything bike related thats not XC. It's a shame Sifiso did so crappy.

Definitely gonna help the case for my new bmx

Hahahahaha! Max is classic! I enjoyed him and Robbie at PMB…apart from Max's chirp over the PA about me "typically with beer in hand".

“Sorry I couldn’t make you proud.” - But you did, and do, Skizo.

The kid's had some bad luck since Beijing. He'll be back.

Agreed Milky, i also thought he lacked the killer instinct required to win BMX races

I dunno what impact that terrible head / neck injury had on his woema.

It seems like the competition was helluva stiff.

Was so epic!

I think strombergs held back to save his energy, spending just enough to get into the final, where the other guys seemed as if they were gunning it the whole day, so then he had the most energy and he won the final.

Thats just my 2c what do you guys think?

Update on my new bmx:

Me and my dad went cruzing through cape town and went looking for a first hand bmx and all we could find was a Blank for R4000. I think we'll stick to secondhand...

More recently He had Surgery on his knee as well, so I think he lost lots of leg power there hence he not coming out of the gate ahead of the field vs before kneck & knee injuries.
