Keep the comments coming. Firstly what does HTFU mean. I am hoping to lose some more weight but my bodyfat is already at 15% but i suppose another 6kg wil make a difference. As far as hours goes, i have been averaging at least 8 hours per week for last couple of months.

I do apologies if my comment cam across as quite crass.

The reality of the situation mostly is one of two things.

A sudden increase in mileage, this will never be easy on the backside.

And the hardening up situation, that is a cold and hard fact.

your ass knows what you re getting yourself into, its a warning sign to the rest of your system. from what i hear that ass might get more problematic and will be in the line of shame at epic 2013. see u there dont take my space.

i am training my ass for epic by sitting on cold catholic church benches more and by watching romantic comedies with my wife without shuffling on the cinema seat!

I did a lot of research last week as I'm struggling with saddles.

One of the common things was bike setup. Saddle height and positition can make a big difference.

Just a thought.

I am wiiling to take the beating as long as i know it will get better. The thing is, how long should i give it before i say this is not the saddle for me

i went through terrible pain with my right site bone. Had my bike ergofit setup. All that really changed was my reach was extended and my saddle raised by about 1/2cm.

About 5 or 6 rides after that adjustment my right sit bone were in absolute agony. I threw ice and inti-inflammatories at it and rested fro 4 days. Took my bike out for a ride and could feel my right bone grinding my saddle. Dropped my seatpost 1/2cm (back to what i had it) and that ride was fine. This weekend I did a nice long 100km ride and felt no more pains. My guess is that my setup was little more racing snake than i am (i.e. forward and bum raised).

The net result is those 6 odd rides have caused a knot at the joint (where the muscle joins the bone) and i am keeping anti-inflammatory and going for a sports massage to try rub it out

Try the Spec. Henge 143mm.

Bought one on Friday, put it on my bike on Sat - in doing so found that the bike fitter had not set my saddle correctly while fitting (as far as I can tell) so fitted new Henge and moved saddle to where fit report said it should be, and went for 57km ride.

Ho my greatness. Ass is on fire and legs feel like they have been screwed on backwards this morning.

Put orig saddle (Gobi Phyzik) back on in orig position. Got B&B in two weeks and figure I'll keep the wrong setting that I'm used to until after then...

Do you know anybody that uses the adamo saddle and why they use it? I dont have any soft tissue problems, just those 2 screaming pointy things called sit bones that makes me wonder how 8 day of 7hours + wil make me feel
