Some people on here shouldn't be giving tire advice after 5 flats and the wrong valve and no spare tube at a recent endure....... Seriously tho. Rolling resistance has never been anything I've cared about. Maybe I should. But for where I'm setting my bike up for Rolling resistance is of little concern. Anyways. That Ass-guy. That's what I get for deciding NOT to replace the tyre with the BRAND NEW one sitting in the back of my van... and not carrying a spare tube, cos #tubeless (also in the back of my van) and I'd refreshed the sealant just 2 days before. Spaz did not approve the warranty claim blaming a crash - which did not happen (well not one which could have caused a crack in my opinion - but I could be wrong). This to a certain extent, and a number of other incidents in the last few months at Spaz concept stores has put me off the brand completely (after me and my immediate family have bought 15 bikes from them over the last 10 years - so it took allot to make me abandon the brand). Still think it's awesome product, just not a fan of the support in SA. Anyway, not here to bash the brand. Insurance paid out for a replacement (CycleSure has been amazing as always - really cannot speak highly enough of this company), and with a few extra randelas I got myself the frame I have been dreaming about and drooling over for the last 2 years! My Evil the Following MB is at Stoke being built up next week. I will post some couch pics as soon as I get it - cannot wait!!! I'm like a giddy teenage girl that just found out Justin Bieber liked her duckface selfie on instagram! Mate of mine has a HILLBILLY on the front of his Reign. Reckons it's as good as the Mary in some areas, but better on loose over hard and kitty litter.So basically a shorty. I really have nothing to say. There was no fuss. No fanfare, no drama. They just worked. The modulation was good and i could lock the rear when I wanted to so I could pretend to scandi flick. They felt a bit dead at the start of the ride but i'm guessing that was coz of new pads and first ride. I've ridden a LOT of bikes and a LOT of brakes. I don't know where I'd rate these in my all time list but as a trail brake i'd probably rate then between XT and SLX. For what it's worth these get a Highly recommended from me.
