Guest Omega Man Posted September 26, 2013 Share Will you guys make up your minds. First I was told red makes you faster, then there was the whole white-out faze, then it's back to black (but not rims as those are for poor people!) and 30min later it's green! I'm respraying bikes this side like there's no tomorrow! What with wheel size and all it's very confusing!Um. I have black carbon rims and believe me they are not for poor people. The thing about bike color is all about setting tho. With your Ranger you should have a completely blacked out bike. And don't hang it over the tailgate like some okes. It's got to be standing. There was an exception added to the rule for ENVE/EDGE, and E13 rims. Atom Lab Pimp rims (in black) are still being assesed to see if they get exception status http://www.abovebike.com/IMG_2997.jpg

In fact, don't pimps come standard in black?

Flowta Posted September 26, 2013 Share How is it meant to work again please? As you know 9 speed SRAM uses a 1:1 pull ratio and 9 speed Shimano a 2:1 pull ratio. When Shimano moved to 10 speed they changed the pull ratio from 2:1 to 1:0.99 (or something like, i.e. very close), if you put a 6mm spacer where you mount attach the cable, it works. And works well. http://www.bikerumor.com/2013/01/29/hacks-mix-and-match-special-edition/
Super_mil Posted September 26, 2013 Share Dimsum, you chainguide setup is way off. Both your top and bottom guide need to move in closer to the chainring. See below. http://p.vitalmtb.com/photos/users/2/photos/33946/s780_cranks_guide.jpg?1336075154 Hairy

I can use my 9spd SRAM XO shifter on a 10spd Shimano clutch type rear der (using the spacer) and then I can run a better 1 x 9sp setup until I get a 10spd shifter and cassette with chain at a give away price?
