My "AM" machine on the first ride. Thanks to cyclist workshop and a certain xmas tree for all the help!

Seriously psychedelic against that green tape! I recon it'll ride even better if you put a little piece of mushroom in the steerer tube. ;)

Ja. I have a SRAM one X2 or something like that. It's made by MRP.

Looking at how the chainguides tension the chain on the bottom side as well, would this reduce chain karate as well?

Ja that's it. It's not going to help much with chainslap (in my experience anyway) I'd get a clutch derailleur. I fitted on to my DH bike the other day and the difference was startling. I went the Zee SRAMano route. I haven't bothered with a spacer and while the gears aren't perfect i do get all of them.
