I use Assos bum cream only if I get it for free. Otherwise I use Dischem milk cream because it is cheap (my Scottish genes) and work just as well. I even bum it (pun intended) from my mate that bought a big tub that's going to last him for years. I use it for long rides only (4 hrs +) and when doing consecutive long rides (like stage races). I've never had any issues with saddle sores, but then I ride well used and trusty saddles and keep my ass clean as a whistle (fog horn?)!

You know the rule, one dip only, a friend never double dips in the chamois cream

Very interesting how did you come to the conclusion to change the crank set? I am also battling with one spot only but when it started i "sat all over" the saddle and that caused my butt to get stuffed properly !!! :w00t:

Had a car take me out and the crank was destroyed in the accident, when I ordered a new one from Chain Reaction they never had the 170 so I thought I'd try a longer set, sometimes you get lucky, I am much happier with the longer cranks as it turns out. (pun intended)

Are thinking of ditching it? Truth be told, after the uikak session we had from oom at j2c I seriously considered it. I mean I was in the medic tent and he wasn't, but then also my saddle didn't agree with me. Will still use it even if it is just for the nice smell

Total & utter waste of money.........but you knew that already

If the guys vote sometimes, Id like to know reasons as to why they voted sometimes.

Is it distance / time in the saddle related?

Sometimes = if i'm riding often i.e. everyday and doing rides over 2 hrs, otherwise I don't bother to use it.
