Getting a SS...you are doing it wrong

Build one up from scratch, source components individually...make it exactly the way you want it...Its half the fun, I promise.

I totally agree with Rouxtjie, I bought the EMD frame for SS, then added a Niner rigid, XX1 Crankset, ZTR ArchEx, FireEye tensioner, XT brakes and the rest is basically Ritchey. It look me a month or 2 but it's the exact SS bike I always wanted.

You will have to pry my SS from my arthritic old hands, I think most guys will sell a family member before they consider the SS.

She is one of four frame, specifically designed by me, Ti, mtb tubbies, niner carbon fork, old XT( 9 speed ) cranks, half link chain. Second hand XX brakes, 8.3kg of pure cycle pleasure.

Took a few weeks to look at the frame before actually building it up.

What chainring are you using with the XX1 crankset?

Seems On-one are discounting inbred frames. £99.

Has anyone imported one? Got an idea on shipping fees, duty etc?

Imported one last year, 9 days from confirmation of order to arrival by courier to my front door. If you order through their website, make sure you set up location as south africa, as they will take the UK VAT off their price and it will also automatically calculate shipping.

They also tell you to supply a physical address and not a PO Box as they send by courier.

Expect to pay 15-16% as local duties

You happy with it? They have a bit of a 'cheap and cheerful' reputation in the UK...

Love my Inbred. So much of fun. Comfy ride, weight's ok, quality's good, value's amazing.

Builds up nice as a budget beater or pimpin ride.
