LOL.

 

Just seems weird a CAAD series bike being used as a commuter.

Its a 1988 Criterium series frame, before the old 2.8 series, long before CAAD was even thought about.

I got the frame from a club mate, restored it to original with original Decals from the USA.

At the moment I don't have a period correct group set for it, so I made it a SS.

I used it for work and back, but now I only ride it on weekends along the beach front.

Its a ridiculously stiff frame, years ahead of any bike from that era. Not a bike you would want to ride for more than 50 or 60km's.

 

It came out with a Suntour groupset, Black and gold, not easy to come across.

My trek 1500 with dura-ace components, I use it for commuting to work every day , it has carbon crank,fork and seat post but the frame is pure aluminum

Still one of the nicest bikes I have ever owned! Sadly the FD mount developed a small crack so I had to retire it. I did donate it to build-a-bike though, so hopefully there was someone who was able to repair the crack and it's making some new owner happy.

I still think mine is one of the most Stunning aluminum Road Bikes i have ever seen.. But i guess we all think ours is the best..
