Hi guys

Wife and me keen on getting a machine, good taste and convenient, ye ye I know you can make coffee by hand also,

Looking at including the Froth'er in the unit.

Which machines (Model Name) is it again, we saw a unit, about R3500

Pro's / Con's.

Anything I/we need to know, from experience.

exclude the pod cost please, know about it.

I have the latissima , but i have bought a few Nespresso U's for others.

Honestly speaking i hardly use the milk thingy.

it actually is more of a problem than anything else.

I would suggest buying the U or Pixie and a seperate milk thingy.

It is easier to clean as well...

Welcome to Nespresso.

The pods are expensive. (just messing with you)

flushing the system. Its not a major thing, unless you forget to do it (which i often do)

But honestly G, i hardly use it anymore.

The nespresso machine makes the coffee so creamy and foamy on its own, i prefer that.

I would agree on the milk frother, I have it as well and also seldom use it, for a basic good little machine the Pixie is hard to beat in my opinion, but I use this one mostly.

I have 2 Nespresso machines, a Citiz with frother on the same base and a Pixie. I like the Pixie more, the design is slightly better and easier to clean. I suggest getting a free standing frother rather than integrated.

Pixie styling is nicer than the U imo.

Pixie with black (wake up kick) and purple (up to lunch time) pods and the double intense decaf (after lunch and in the evening), that's all I need for my habit.

I have the Essenza, bought a little hand held frother thingy for 50 bucks that works perfectly with no hassle for when we want frothy milk. Couldn't justify the extra R1000 just for frothy milk. I love my Nespresso machine - couldn't live without it.

i live on my nespresso, i must warn you though once you have one your life is ruined!!!!!

you will never be able to enjoy another cup of coffee again and if you do its just not the same as your nespresso.

i have the CitiZ with the frother and never have anything other than cappachino at home anymore.

my little hint for the day is to put a teaspoon of vanilla essence and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar into the milk before you froth. makes a little cup of heaven
