BUT WHY!!!!

 

The same "engineering" argument will count as for 26" frames that you fit a set of 27.5" wheels to.

 

Stress points on the frame and fork will change from how the structure is designed for.

 

So the short answer...

If you are reducing 29 to 27.5, you are sooo.....missing the point...?

It's not just a wheel size thingy here..

The bikes geometry will be totally out of whack, and your BB will be ploughing in the ground...

long stays for small wheels etc...

 

And the bike will look like an absolute "Wally Wheeler"

 

Which brings us back to GoodBadUgly's question:

"The biggest thing you will need is to the answer to the question: "But why???"
