Kevlouw Posted February 25, 2016 Share Why not have a verified account like Twitter, Instagram or Facebook? Meaning you can't sell on the Hub if you haven't provided some personal info. If you are trustworthy with what you are selling, you shouldn't mind providing some info, and buyers would feel more at ease buying from you. Catatonic_Joe Posted February 25, 2016 Share Maybe Bringabela and specialized1973 are one and the same person and he/she forgot for moment which profile they were logged into Or maybe he/she was just thinking out loud.

lerouc Posted February 25, 2016 Share So i've bought a couple of things on here for a bargain and then resold it again. I am not in the trade, most of the times i buy things with intention of using it myself but then a month later still in closet and then i sell it off again. I dont like loosing money so i advertise for higher prices. But i have also sold some stuff on for the same price i bought it for and even given stuff away on here. Personally if someone advertises something and you give them their money, they are happy, if you resell it for a higher price and have a willing buyer for higher price and he finds someone willing to pay the higher price everyone is still happy. I once bought a roadbike, ended up selling it a couple of months later for more than i paid for it, sold it on here on the hub to someone who told me he is going to sell it again, and a week or two later it was on the hub again. Add was removed after a while which let me think it was sold. Am i pissed off, no, i got what i wanted, the first guy got what he wanted and the guy currently owning the bike also got what he wanted or he wouldve bought something else. Thats life. Gewillige koper/gewillige verkoper - of so iets.
Kapenschtaten Posted February 25, 2016 Share Maybe its a naive view point but this is essentially a forum for people with a common 2-wheel obsession. Isnt the whole point of a cycling community to keep said community cycling? Or is it to make a quick buck off this cycling community? If your choice is the latter then Id say go do that on Scumtree. If you wanna sell YOUR bike bits n bobs great, we always need new/replacement stuff, but if you buy something here with the sole intention of just re-selling it or you sell stolen stuff, you're SO on the wrong site. You are just ripping this community off, plain and simple. They are adding ZERO value and must go.
sakkiebomskok Posted February 25, 2016 Share I must say i sell alot of bikes on here. Usually bought on here changed a bit and sold again. I make a few bucks but i also think alot of the stuff i sell is a very fair price. I also sell off parts etc sometimes and i often see stuff being resold for more... You know what i do then.. I comment saying: "nice deal, glws" . Why should i be sour about someone else making money out of my loss. Good for him. Its usually the people who is an dk in life who complains about missing out on a bargain for themselves.

Davedk Posted February 25, 2016 Share so... Back to the topic, Are bringebela and specialized1973 the same person? I think heck yes! And if not and it is a simple "forgot to log off before another person" type deal then maybe still not so good to rate a person as a buyer and comment when there is a clear conflict of interest. still in my opinion unethical
