Jaaa

That's why my SS only comes out to play when the terrain is nice and the ride is no longer than 45km.

That steep little bugger that is covered in Gunite (cement)

Hate that climb. Too steep to climb seated and standing up you don't have traction due to the uneven surfaces.

For "Gee" team - I think a 2:50 is very possible. I am hoping to crack the 2:50 mark this year but will be going in with no other races in the leg. Will be interesting to see how I feel on the day. But count me in to help chase the time. As I said before I will be trying not to go to hard in the first half so that I have the legs to hammer it in the second. That Diepsloot climb is always a bastard to me.

Take the New Road offramp, come and park here at our shop, get on to the R55 and just whizz past Waterfall to the start.

Wyatt

I might just take you up on that offer....I know where that is, as I take my son to Papachino's often

Maybe some retail therapy after the race might just be what's needed

Thanks dude

Last year was a 33/15 , 29 wheel size

I rode last year and the year before on a 44/14, 26er. I got a 3:28 and a 3:30. Honestly though the gear was way too huge. My problem is my next size down is a 32/14, which I feel would be too light. I guess at some point I will need a chainring in the middle.

I think we just have to get a feel for what times everyone wants to be chasing. We all have the same ballpark time in mind probably. I also like to warm up initially. Don't do to well on cold legs. Fast flats is my nemesis. I dont know the course so have no idea where that Diepsloot climb is (or any others to watch anyway) so whatever happens, happens for me.

As one of the G-spotters, I like the idea, and maybe like one of the other trains, we could meet say in the Crade for a ride the week or so before, say hi to each other, check out the relative strengh of everyone, have a cup of coffee and plan our race.

I think I may also drop back and join the "G"roup...

What pen are y'all starting in?
