Stolen PYGA and On One Cape Town

My PYGA and my son's One One were stolen on Sunday night from my garage in Southern suburbs, Cape Town.

I bought the PYGA as Mark Hopkins' demo, so it's unique. It's the metallic burnt orange One Ten 29er dual sus (same colour as the 120 650B) that appeared on all the magazine covers. Large, spec'd with black Reba RLTi fork set at 140mm, XO/X9, Elixir R brakes and Hope/Arch wheels, Thomson stem, post and carbon flat bar, and black/red Gobi saddle. Onza/Rtichie tyres. Also Revolution Cycles stay guard and sticker.

The On One is a medium matt black carbon 456 hardtail with no stickers, all XT, including the wheels and dual control shifters/brakes, Black/red Reba Race fork with poplock, FSA bar/stem/post, WTB saddle and distinctive glow in the dark Oury rubber grips, and Maxxis MiMo tyres.

Both kind of unique bikes, so please keep a look out.

The police are onto it but info gratefully received.

Gutted.

Thanks. Constantia area. Just got the Pyga and haven't ridden it yet due to injury.

Definitely check Neils wheels in Plumbstead....

Sorry for the loss...

The PYGA is the only 29er in the orange colour. Sram Carbon cranks with the Race Face rubber end protectors, XTR trail pedals. Thomson setback post and 70mm zero rise stem, Easton EC70 685mm flat carbon bar and ESI black chunky grips.

I too am sorry for your loss - will keep an eye out.

Just on bike theft, I'm sure a number of these thefts can be prevented by 2 simple things:

1. Keep the bikes behind a screen of some sort (so that people walking past can't see it when you drive into your garage)

2. Lock the bike with a really strong lock onto a rawlbolt. This will at least delay the guys a bit if not put them off completely.

Both these solutions cost very little and are very practical. A garage alarm might help too.
