BUT there is also nothing like seeing 'that' smile and enjoyment on your partners face when he (in my case) comes from a piece of awesome trails! I wouldnt want it any other way and I would wash his bike to have that with my partner for life.

Waiting for that wedding date

"Parking space" isn't much of a problem inside the house, but here are some ideas I've been toying with to make it more of a "feature"

I do like the 'feature' thing, but unfortunatly non of those are practical for a dual sus

Honestly, I prefer if the wife doesn't join me and so far, she hasn't bitten the bug. Cycling is kinda like my stress-free zone. It's nice and peaceful, tranquil if you like and when I'm on my bike I sort of just forget about everything else in the world. It's a really nice place to be. Now, I love my wife to bits don't get me wrong, but if she joins me that place wouldn't be as nice as it was anymore. All the moaning, complaining etc just by thinking about it.

Then you are doing it wrong. Most of my riding is alone or with like minded buddies.

I ride bikes with the wife (just the two of us) possibly once every two months and it is awesome when we do. She is far above average technically and quite strong. She doesn't ever complain. I love seeing her achieve personal milestones like doing that drop off for the first time which bugged her for years.

Most times we ride together on mtb club rides so we are kinda together but each with our own 'group'.

I bet he would rather that you washed him than his bike.... oops.... maybe he would want you to wear surgical gloves while you do that... maybe not... :)

Come on H - you are an engineer - design something that rotates and lifts the bikes up and down so you can get the one you want when you want it... can't be that hard to do for a double volume space... like the big wheel at a carnival, but not round... more like a vertical conveyor belt... then the bikes can stand on their wheels...

I understand where Bob is coming from cycling for me is an escape where all I have to worry about is staying on the bike. and besides i'm sure he also wouldn't mine taking his wife cycling with him 6 times a year as well :whistling:
