Strange shoes to be riding in

So we go for a ride this morning and one of my mates gave me a memory I'll never forget. Grabbed his shoes out the cupboard and this was the result. We made him ride the full circuit. :-)

6:30 start at Groenies. He actually did quite well in that shoe. We couldn't believe he managed to at least bring one left and one right. Really good reason to put cleats on your work shoes!

mate of mine did similar at rietvlei once, rocked up with his slops to find that he forgot his mtb shoes at home, ended up riding rietvlei in his slops.

One year at the Giant's Castle challenge I met a man swearing all the way at a buddy that took his riding shoes out of the car for some or other reason. He rode the 75 km with vellies and spd pedals.
