Me and a mate had an argument today. What has a better resale value in the long run........ carbon or aluminium?? Or is it irrelevant as its all about the groupo and wheels??

Anything is good.

bikes seem to be an investment lately.

Its more expensive to buy 2nd hand than new.

 

I would also go Alu or Steel, Carbon has a limited life.

Bicycles depreciate quicker then a crack whore, how is that an investment?

Actually, not, carbon has unlimited life and doesn't fatigue. Alu does eventually fatigue. Problem is that carbon will fail catastrophically, if it is abused ;)
