love the Barn. since they started doing little berms in the corners of the single track, it's a blast! also love the big drop-offs - not for the faint-hearted!

Anyone been there this last week since the crazy flooding in centurion? Want to check it out this long weekend but don't want to schlepp out there if it's a total mud fest.

I rode their on sunday. .. not alot of mud.. some detours have been made from having warrior race there 2 weeks ago and the really hectic mud is just before the forest at about 3-4km... but there is a bypass route... on the double black before the concrete palisade is hectic, drop off has a heavy rut on left side, nice and fast on right :D and the two climbs r still very muddy and slippery. .. had to walk it -_-

I don't think I'll be anywhere near any double black but I might just take a spin out there thus weekend, need to shake up my routine and comfort zone. Tx.

Its pretty safe, ridden it plenty of times alone, and on weekends there are quite a lot of riders around so should be fine.

This should be on the trails section IMO but finally got out there yesterday. Did a quick 12km loop with some friends that didn't want to go too much, then we did some of the other gree/blue before doing the 12 km loop again. My word, some amazing single track - really fast and good fun. I did a spectacular back wheel slide taking the one corner a bit too wingat. How I managed to stay upright I don't know :)

Some scary stuff out on the blue sections - but I must say I didn't enjoy that, not just from lack of skills and walking my bike through a lot of things - but it was disgusting dirty along some sections and really smelly with flies all over the place. Is that what it's always like?

My OH braved some black bits, I think he had to check his pants for skid marks but he felt like a kid all over again.

Hey Uni,

I got to Red barn Quite often. I love it there, as I have mentioned in another post there are egoistic cyclists there, other than that it's an awesome place. BTW their pizzas are the best in PTA!

I know exactly what dirty sport you are referring to, I think the bad thing is that they do not have control of all that crap that washes down river, that said though, they could seriously get n few people to clean up their after a flood downstream.

All in all very nice venue.
