First/tester decal on...

Was quite tricky to apply on the curve of the chain stay. But I think it looks ok...

Exactly!

I use soapy water in a spray bottle to apply the vinyl. Works great on normal paint finishes. Not so easy on plastidipped ones. So I think a clear coat or 3 will definitely help that vinyl stay vas

I was going to suggest heat to tease the vinyl around corners and compound curves but not sure how that would work with the Plastidip... Soapy water on paint works a treat.

how are you doing those graphics patches? you mentioned a computer and a cutter. are printing onto the vinyl and cutting manually or do you have a nifty fancy thing to do it for you?

I just used AutoCAD for this. I'm not very creative/artistic, but for those that are, programs like Illustrator will be capable of far more.

I then send it through (click print) to a little vinyl cutter. This doesn't print but just cuts precoloured vinyl to precision (according to the vectors)

After cutting, the vinyl needs to be "weeded". Basically remove (with tweezers) all the excess so that only the design remains.

Partially weeded (above) and fully weeded (below)

Then I put application tape on. This allows me to transfer the design in its entirety onto the surface.

Design on application tape.

Then I prep the surface with soapy water. Apply the design. Shift into place. Push out excess water and air bubbles and leave to dry. (Sometimes the application tape can only be removed once the water dries, or it will lift up the design)

Looking good so far, well done

Really want to see this all built up. What your plans for the build?

Thanks Mish!

As for the build... I'll basically be building my Jekyll over. So with the exception of a few parts. Spec is as follows:

Lyrik DH in the front

Kashima RP23 at the back

Old XTR cranks with Narrow-Wide and orange straitline bash guard.

Saint 10sp clutch.

Hope Tech M4 Evo's

Reverb with orange straitline clamp

Renthal bars with orange grips

Orange easton havoc stem (only part I'm waiting on)

Black (don't tell anyone) spank spike 28s on green straightpull hope pro 2s

If spank made spike 28s in orange, I'd be sorted

And I suppose blue wasn't an option?

Dissapointed........
