So some spare "kuitspiere" are in order for this one?

mmmm dunno so much....more a case of being able to climb efficiently...its tricky loose rocky climbing, so you can probably donner over it by brute force, but you will burn your whole box of lion matches....

you should be more worried about whether there will be any beer left when you get back..we drank them dry last year

 

and that there should be you main focus when doing this race...

You don't get it - by saying its hard and difficult it parts, its implied that is good. Def. one of the best on the highveld. For those doing it for the first time, after say the Nissan or USN series, they will get a taste of more difficult terrain, you will hear them chatting amongst themselves in between grimaces & looks of desperation saying "this is a REAL mountain bike race" but still mildish compared to something like the Sabie marathon.

 

Also a really lovely part of the Magaliesberg.
