Vegetable gardens at home.

With the new Cape Town water restrictions about to kick in (hard), I've decided to try square foot gardening again this year and incorporate greywater. I'm moving my washing machine to be nearby to my gardening patch and will see what grows.

These restrictions where rather unexpected else I would have bought a large JoJo tank earlier this year.

Gentlemen,

I want to set up irrigation for my raised beds.

I have 4 raised beds with 8 squares in each. I'm thinking of running a thick pipe in the middle of the bed, with 8 drippers going out of it. Something like in the image.

Do you reckon it will be effective? What would I need to build something like this?

How are these coming along?

Slowly, will take some pics this eve.

I think I may have over fertilised.

Also lost 4 watermelon plants to snail or slugs or something. So I have thrown pellets, but still need to spray the area as well.

Hi All

Looking to buy a decent sized lime tree (between 1-2 meters in size). Located in the Southern Suburbs, any suggestions of where to go or order one from?

Check Starke Ayres in Mowbray. They have plenty fruit trees in stock. Otherwise ask if they can order

So living in a flat here in Kuwait has made gardening interesting. Just have my stapels going, garlic and the trusty Carolina reaper. Oh and some date palms.
