See this is the problem when you race a race and don't ride a race. :whistling: You worry about things you should not worry about. :nuke: Weather schmether feather. The wind will be what the wind will be. The ride will still be awesome.

 

I say about 4 hours ride time and about 2 hours stoping time (ok maybe 2 and half with the wind) so a full days outing for 6 and half hours. Not a bad I say. :clap:

That equates to good value for your money!!

(compared to if you do it in sub 3hr...)

Can't stand the incessant dry throat when the gusts are up

 

At least, with cooler temps, I'll be able to wear my new funky black Assos jersey

1987 was the last one where it really pelted down.

1993 it rained before the start and 2006 also

1998 also rained - I was in F that year and was completely soaked by the time we got to Simon's Town.

Should have raced today..I was out at Cape point ....and the leaves did not even stir...the entire day!!

 

Perfect conditions ....or "die stilte voor die storm??"
