Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge 2014

For every *** section there is a good one - for instance, the new tar surface laid down in Jan Smuts from the zoo through Saxonwold to Dunkeld. Thats one of my favorite sections.

 

Now with added vooma

 

Where you really need to be on the look out is hurtling down Joe Slovo through Yeoville dodging pedestrians taking chances to get to the other side, as well as the other side of Ponte going down into Doornfontein..

Include the top of Jan Smuts in Randburg (next to the taxi rank). You get a few that also like to cross the road, although your speed is (a little) less than passed Ponte.

Seems like every person crossing in front of you is dragging a child or three bags of grocery shopping behind them. This is the only bit of the ride that actually makes me nervous, 'cos I do manage to get a fair speed up here.

 Its like playing frogger ... LOL   people running form both sides as you're hurtling at breakneck spped down Harrow Road.. LOL
