In about 2 pages max, the racial profiling will show it's ugly head, get your answers in a row, HOW DARE U CALL HIM "a suspect looking cyclist " just cause he smokes, this smacks of something far more sinister, obviously I am kidding but the next TREE HUGGER won't be, well done AS I ALWAYS SAY TRUST YOUR GUT

IF HE LOOKS OUT OF PLACE, HIS ACTIONS ARE OUT OF PLACE, IF YOU GET A WARM FUZZY FEELING IN YOUR BIG TOE, FETCH!!!!!!!

Well done for putting him in his place(jail) even if it was for 5 min max

It's a pity you couldn't get a hanging in the square for him. Wonder what has happened to him! Good work on your attentiveness.

I got informed by security that whilst they were busy with this guy, there was another robbery/ vehicle theft taking place, which required the attention of most of the security guards. So he is still out there, sadly

There always has to be one doesn't there. If there were less negative people like you around, there would be less hub fights and less threads locked and this would generally be a better place.

Why can't you just see it for what it is. A good person did something good for a stranger and a bad person got caught. Why does it always have to involve colour?

maybe he's like me and couldn't stand the sight of a dual sus MTB kitted out with slicks... If you gave him a few minutes he might have returned it with knoblees...

You did a good thing and someone kept their bike. Well done.

It was the shoes that gave him away mate. Mountainbikers don't wear white shoes ^_^

What tipped you off and made you certain it was a theft and not the owner of the bike? I think most people would have been really worried about being mistaken and creating a racial incident (if they're white) so good on you for trusting your instincts.

He didn't wear any cleats.

I also first asked him if it was his bike - his response gave him away when he said it was his friend's bike he came to fetch. I took a chance and said I know the owner and suggested we phone him. He then got all nervous and responded that he might have then 'fetched' the wrong bike. That's when I called security.

These things happen around us everyday, by ordinary looking people. We just need to be more vigilant and alert as often criminals just 'blend' in with the crowd and hardly gets noticed.

That's the darndest thing about the bad guys. They almost always have a face, 2 eyes, 2 ears, a nose, both arms and legs, usually most of their fingers and toes and even sometimes all their teeth. Makes them very hard to spot. Selfish *******.
