Cycle Science in Broadacres Sells Fake Pinarello

Recommended Posts

Cool, Chop, jealous and Troll... Next up heathen. Luckily I am still to resort to name calling. Who is the real troll?

Call it back pedaling then. I did not see the invoice. I read the Carte Blanche bit. Perhaps I could have seen it if it was included in the original post. Dare I ask on what page it is? In fact, save yourself the time of replying. If needs be, PM me further insults.

Sometimes you just need to accept that one fool was away from the hub for more than a couple of days, and just missed the bulk of it all.

But the facts are:

1. You did not have R160K for a new DOGMA

2. You paid +- 2 thirds of a Dogma's price at that spec for a "dogma"

3. Now you are upset about the "dogma" - but as the potential client, you initiated it.

I seriously do not get that. How can you expect to pay so much less for the bike?

Are you ok then with stolen goods? Cause there is not a lot of other alternatives. Either it is fake or stolen at 2 thirds of the DOGMA's price.

I did not see the invoice. I read the Carte Blanche bit.

Where did you get your R160K for the Dogma he bought ? Your whole argument is a fiction based on this random number.

R91 K for a End-of-year Dogma with less than top-of-range Gruppo, DT Swiss wheels and indifferent finishing kit (they did not even throw in a bottle cage) is an OK price that any good client should have been able to negotiate with their long-standing bike shop.

It is certainly not a price that should have rung a bell that the frame, wheels and finishing kit would be FAKE.

But as you said, you did not see the invoice, you ride a GT and have not read the thread. That surely qualifies you to comment on what buying any high end build, and more specifically this one, entails.

Yet you accuse the OP of being a criminal. Sad really.

I'm not even sure if I need to reply, being a chop after all.

I was merely questioning the conditions of the sale, and if it was indeed shared with ALL BUYERS that they are not getting the real deal, and if they accepted it. Irrespective of perceived relationships.

Let me ask this, who willingly here bought any fake product and are willing to admit to anybody that they bought a fake?

Isn't there two sides to a story?

Why then, when told it was fake, did the customer then purchase an original? Right there he coughed up for what he wanted, pretty much destroying any affordability argument.

It seems i missed the action that lead up to this...

This is a perfect example of the kind of self righteous uninformed rubbish thehub is well known for, after 125 pages or so of redemption RooiWille takes it upon himself to undo all the good that has come before him. And he's trying damn hard, read the the whole thread you chop before you come taking a dump on the doorstep. Ey some people.

That is some great advice, you should try it

The current report is business as usual at CS. We'll probably have to wait and see...

John: “Some people want a look-alike.”

Robbie Gallinetti (Owner: Cycle Science): “Some people want a look-alike, but can’t afford to pay the price.”

What he meant to say was that some people "want their fake and eat it" ;)

Seems Robbie falls into the camp of 'some people who want a look-alike, but can't afford to pay the price.'

Bruce Foulis explains that in the CB clip - it is worthless and so it should be.
