Nowt wrong with 883 but ppl generally buy the 1202 so might battle to sell. If u get it at a good price then no worries.

With the demise of the sportster range they have gone up in value here. My roadster I could sell for more n I paid for it.

Much negatives bout Harley and maybe mostly justified but their resale values are incredibly strong here.

There is always a market for the sporties. They can also be customised to the Ying Yang and back. My son in law got a absolute bargain on a 1200 sporty. Absolute blast to ride and way quicker through the corners than my Wide Glide.

Instead of working a little longer and saving a little longer I am getting impatient and may just end up buying a Sportster 883 and rider her for a year whilst saving up the remainder needed for a nice Fat Bob.

At least I can make a Sportster happen now already, though I know I should wait I am also thinking I could sell the Sporty again without loosing much if anything.

I have just gone on to the website and cant find the Sportster.Am I looking in the wrong place?

1st prize would be the 1200 if I can get a good deal on a decent one.

I know it's difficult, but be patient. Bargains do come around.

My son in law paid 42000 for his 1200 sporty. Came with a extra solo seat, sissy bar and saddle bags. Okay it is a 2006 which is the last of the carbs but a absolute blast to ride.

Don’t think about it too much, decide and pull the trigger!

The worst that could happen will be made known a year from now...

Personally, I would try to get a deal that best suits what I want... and the rest they say...

Really enjoying my sportster roadster. It kinda grows on you. I have a couple of Harley t shirts an Harley boots. I feel like a bad ass wannabe riding my Harley like Billy.

But when viewed in the cold light of day as a machine it’s crap. But I likes it.

My lil MT50. Now got it running sweet as a nut. Took 2 strip down of the carb to get sorted. Many hours. Tank an rear section will be going to a spray shop to spray original blue an dent pulled. I have the decals too.

Spent a day refurbishing the exhaust so looks good as new. Will take the motor out an spray the block at home sometime. Frame I will touch up for now an have powder coated next winter. Have another box of parts like nee brake shoes etc being delivered this week an new seat cover an other bits an pieces.

Also applied for the registration document from vehicle department. No mess no fuss an should get that soon. Then MOT and hello summer.

I have a few private roads in my area so been riding it on them. Gets to 40 miles an hour. Hoot to ride.

Will be looking for another project soon. Ideally a ER50 or 125.
